Ritz Carlton is synonymous with classic luxury and their newest culinary adventure, enoSTEAK is a striking reflection of this sentiment. The atmosphere is reflective of a traditional steakhouse with dark paneling, crisp white linens and striking artwork throughout. It is a sharp contrast to the light and airy lobby of the hotel and if you are looking to enjoy the Ritz’s famous views, arrive early and enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail in the bar or on the outdoor patio to watch the sunset.
enoSTEAK’s menu is simple and refined yet there is enough variety to satisfy an array of appetites. In place of a typical bread basket, each and every table is treated to enoSTEAK’s signature chicken pate which is topped with caramelized shallots and served alongside fresh bread that pairs wonderfully with the creamy pate. It is a strong indicator of the delightful cuisine that will follow.
From the Introduction selections, the Wedge Salad is a guaranteed pleaser, the traditional salad uses all of the right elements to create this steakhouse favorite, but the flavors are literally bursting with freshness from the creamy Point Ryes Blue Cheese to the crisp lettuce leaves and tangy buttermilk dressing – it is the perfect starter. The Tuna Tartare is also very popular and brings together tangy citrus with hearty ahi for a velvety finish that offers a bright bite at the end.
If you are a steak-lover, I promise this will be one of the best culinary experiences you will partake. The Vintage Farm meats are grass fed and aged in-house to create an amazing steak. Whether you indulge in the Porterhouse, or their most popular cut the Ribeye or go traditional with the filet, you will not be disappointed. The meat itself is tender, juicy and bursting with flavor. The preparation of the meat is simple and refined – seasoned with salt, pepper and garlic. It is perfect to enjoy as is, or you can indulge with the butter compounds served alongside the steaks – they offer garlic and herb, lemon thyme and lavender or a béarnaise sauce.
The sides at enoSTEAK are as exciting as the main courses. The sautéed organic mushrooms with peas bring together hearty and rich mushrooms with pops of green brightness, for a unique and satisfying side. The summer corn fennel fondue was another sublime creation with crisp corn in a creamy sauce that was simply delicious. The truffle mac and cheese trumps any other variation I’ve had and the creamy mashed potatoes were sinfully good with each and every bite.
The service here is also impeccable. The staff is kind and hospitable and able to answer any questions with precision. enoSTEAK is the perfect place to indulge in an amazing dinner or for a special night out. Enjoy!
